Anika Mehta

Creator and Co-host

Anika is a Clinical Psychology PhD candidate. With a background in neuroscience, her clinical work is focused on personality disorder, childhood  and complex trauma and emotion dysregulation--- working to understand how these experiences are shaped in the brain. She has completed training in community mental health, hospital outpatient units and at the Veterans Affairs. She specialized in DBT and psychodynamic practice, specifically in attachment theory.  Her research interests include studying the effects of therapeutic alliance.

Apart from her clinical work, Anika is a huge hopeless romantic. Born in the wrong century and wrong continent, you can usually find her dreaming about living her life in a Jane Austen novel, complete with afternoon tea, society balls and waiting for her own Mr. Darcy.
